Azita Ghanizada

Azita A. Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American Actress in the United States. She has been featured in numerous television shows. Her birthplace was in Kabul, Afghan. Her parents fled to the US which they received asylum. Ghanizada is the middle child from two siblings, and brought up in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada made her debut on television by appearing in several National Commercials. Ghanizada won the award for the most outstanding actress in the festival film in 2004's Laura Neri movie A Kiss on the Nose. In the film, she was the character Chiara. A few of her TV roles include How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars NUMB3RS The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Psych and Castle. Recent roles include a role as a support in Blood Shot, (2009) - based on the science fiction movie Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada started her acting career in 2008 when she was a part of the team for the General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. Season 2 of General Hospital Night Shift, she appeared as the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra who is an holistic physician. Ghanizada was a part of Kelly, an actress on Prada Sales Girl on HBO Entourage in 2009 and was cast as a character in the television pilot Tough Trade by Weeds creator Jenji Kohn, and the executive producer T Bone Burnett.
